Kavos is a fantastic place for a party holiday. Plenty of people, cheap drink, cheap accommodation and one hell of a nightlife.
Over the last couple of years, Kavos has had some of the hottest artists including Lethal Bizzle, Philip George, Karen Harding, DJ S.K.T, Alex Adair and Wretch 32.
All of the bars and nightclubs are on one main strip, so everything is easy to find. The summers in Kavos are insane. Going in the summer months, you will experience an excellent nightlife and very hot weather.
If you are going outside of these months (April, May or September) then expect it to be less busy.
This is an 18-30 holiday, however most of the people here are between 18-23. When you are in Kavos make sure you try the very famous Headfucker. This drink contains the following ingredients:
- A shot of Gordon’s Gin
- A shot of Gold Tequila
- A shot of Smirnoff Vodka
- A shot of Bacardi
- A shot of Malibu
- A shot of Peach Schnapps
- A shot of Grenadine
- A shot of Southern Comfort
- A shot of Absinthe
- Then it is topped up with cranberry juice and orange juice.
Another well known drink is served at JC’s bar and it’s called the Dentist Chair. What happens is that you take a seat and tilt your head back, then a funnel goes into your month and then 4 bottles of strong spirits are poured down the funnel and into your mouth. If you are sober before this then you won’t be after!
On the strip you can buy loads of different types of drinks, including buckets. Drinks prices are similar to Ayia Napa, Zante and Malia – most beers are around 3 Euros whilst cocktails are around 4 Euros.
Nightclubs and Bars
When it comes to bars in Kavos, there are plenty to choose from. One of the great bars on the strip is called Buzz Bar – drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is lively. The great thing about Buzz Bar is that the party gets so busy that it pours onto the street.
Another great bar is Rolling Stones: this place is bouncing. It’s well worth staying here for a few Head Fuckers! Snobs bar is rated as one of the best bars in Kavos. The music is mainly hip/hop and R&B which creates a fantastic atmosphere.
Like Buzz Bar, the party spills onto the streets. There are loads of other great bars on the Kavos strip that offer cheap drinks and a good time.
For the best club in Kavos, look no further than Atlantis. This place is on the strip. This club doesn’t pour onto the street but it pours onto the beach. This place is a party mad place.
It offers a great night especially when you go to the Super Paint Party, Foam party and Full Moon Party. Other clubs to visit include Venue and Club Trinity.
Things to Do
Whilst recovering from your hangover you can do a range of things during the day. Types of things to do include pool parties (recommend), boat party (recommend) crazy speedboat, water park, jet ski hire, quad hire or you could chill out beside the pool.
If you want to go to the beach, then don’t worry. There is a very long beach near the Kavos strip. These is a lot to do in Kavos but we would definitely recommend going on the boat party. This starts in the morning and finishes in the evening and it is fantastic.
