The nightlife in Lanzarote isn’t as lively as other destinations in the Canary Islands but you can still have a great night.
Lanzarote is ideal for families and couples; so if you are planning a stag do, hen party or a 18-30 holiday, then you might want to consider somewhere else. Recommended destinations include Tenerife, Albufeira or Benidorm.
Lanzarote has many nightlife areas including Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise and the capital, Arrecife.
In these areas you will find places to dance all night long and places where you can relax at the many bars. All these areas are family and couple friendly.
Puerto del Carmen is the livest area for nightlife in Lanzarote. Here you will find many British pubs, sports bars, karaoke bars, live music, restaurants and nightclubs.
There are two main nightlife areas in Puerto del Carmen. They are Centro Atlantico on the main strip of Avenida de las Playas and the Old Town.
Costa Teguise is next to Puerto del Carmen and is a place all the family can enjoy. There are sports bars, pubs, live entertainment venues and restaurants to suit all tastes.
In Playa Blanca, the two main areas are called Centro Comercial Papagayo and Centro Comercial Punto Limones. You will find a range of bars and restaurants to enjoy.
Arrecife is the capital of Lanzarote but it’s not a touristy area for a night out. However, in the capital you can experience a traditional Spanish night with the locals.
Nightclubs and Bars
In Puerto del Carmen there are many places to go. For live music try The Island Bar. It’s a recommended place to go as they have many great acts playing here. If you like cocktails then head to La Delicatezza for an extremely good tipple!
Other bars to check out are Tiny Bar, The Inn Place (sports bar), Ruta 66, The Owl & the Pussycat and more.
In Costa Teguise there is an excellent bar called Hook. They serve great cocktails and is worth checking out. Other bars to visit include Jesters Bar and Dickens Cocktail Bar.
Playa Blanca has a few bars and drinking establishments to go to. Three places in Playa Blanca are Lounge Bar, Barney’s and Jungle bar which a great dance floor.
Things To Do
During the day there is plenty to do on this fantastic island. You can chill out at the pool or you can head to the beach and try out the watersports on offer.
Other activities to do are playing golf, go karting, go scuba diving, visiting the waterpark or go on a boat trip.
If you’re into partying then you need to go on the Splash Beach and Boat Party. This is definitely something you should do because you get to experience a fantastic beach party and then you can continue the party by climbing onboard a boat.
