Nightlife in Leeds

Leeds is a big city and a great city. The nightlife here is one you should definitely experience. In Leeds there are a few areas to party at. Each area has pubs, bars and nightclubs.

If you’re planning a stag do or hen party then Leeds is a great place for a night out. The nightlife is especially enjoyed by the many students here.

Call Lane is a very popular area. If you’re going to have a night out in Leeds, then the Call Lane area is the place to be as there are plenty of bars including cocktail bars.

Jake’s bar, Brooklyn bar and Call Lane Social are just three recommended places to go. There are also bars which play live music.

Millennium Square is an area where many people start the night. There are many places to enjoy a beer, a glass of wine or a cocktail. One thing you should do is have a stein at Bierkeller. Meanwhile, Briggate is relaxing area to go to.

There are cobbled streets with great pubs including the 300 year old Whitelock’s pub. Other areas to check out are the Arena Quarter and Headingley.

Nightclubs

When it comes to nightclubs in Leeds, you are spoilt for choice. Many of the nightclubs here have been going for many years so they know a thing or two about partying! Dress code can vary from club to club but smart casual with smart shoes is recommended. Here are the nightclubs to party at.

One nightclub to check out in Leeds is the Warehouse. It’s been going since the 1980s so they know how to show you a good night. If you are going to the Warehouse nightclub then arrive after 11pm as that’s when it gets busy.

Another nightclub that’s been going for a long time is Mission. This club has been open for over 10 years and is located in six railway arches. What’s more the club has 3 rooms and a large outdoor terrace. This is a popular place!

O2 Academy is a venue that has a great reputation. This place is known for its great live music scene. Many artist and DJs have played here including Annie Mac.

If there isn’t any live music on then you should still head to O2 Academy as their club nights are the best in the city.

Pryzm is a very busy place and enjoyed by everyone. The club has five different rooms to explore and each one plays a different style of music. Other clubs to definitely check out are Hi-Fi Club, Space, Chilli White, Wire, Mint Club, Mint Warehouse and Canal Mills.

Bars and Pubs

It won’t take you long to find bars in Leeds. There are many fantastic bars all over this city. One bar that is a must is the Belgrave Music Hall.

This place has a 200 people capacity and hosts live music events but the main reason why you should visit is because it has a great roof terrace that you will love.

Another bar to have a drink in is Roxy Ball Room. You can have a drink here and play some fun games. There’s ping pong, beer pong, pool and even mini golf!

If you like the games in Roxy Ball Room then why not go to Shuffle Dog. Not only is there over 30 beers to choose from there is also three shuffleboards to play on.

There are many more bars and pubs to visit in Leeds they include Tiger Tiger, Epernay Champagne Bar, The Hop, Crosskeys, Whitelocks and Brewdog.

Cocktail Bars

There are many great cocktail bars to visit in Leeds. If you want a great view of Leeds then visit the Sky Lounge rooftop bar. This bar is at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and is worth going to as there are fantastic views of the city.

The Maven is a cocktail bar not to be missed as many people do. The Maven is through an unmarked door and is situated on Call Lane. Once you enter this bar you will want to stay for a long time.

The Alchemist is an excellent bar to go to. It has a wide range of great cocktails to choose from. What makes this place even better is that there is a balcony that is perfect for summer months.

Other cocktail bars to visit are Smokestack, Angelica, Manahatta, Mojo, Sandinista and the Botanist.
